The Character Pillar for  October is Trustworthiness

This month's proclamation is dedicated to Jeff Straight - and was written by him for Character Counts!  many years ago.

You will be missed!

 TRUSTWORTHINESS
It’s during this month that we remember to practice being TRUSTWORTHY in our daily lives. Being trustworthy means to be honest, tell the truth & to be sincere to ourselves and others. It means to never deceive, cheat or steal.  It also means that you must strive to honor your word and commitments by only making promises that you are able and intend to keep. You must be reliable and do what you say you will do and be that someone others can rely. You must have the courage to do the right thing and stand up for what you believe in. People who are trustworthy build a good reputation with others around them and don't make excuses for their actions. Being trustworthy is being loyal to those in your life – so stand by your family, friends and county.
